The furlough scheme has ended. It helped 9.3 million people, meaning 80 per cent of salaries, up to £2,500, was paid by the government. But as furlough switches to the new job support scheme, which o›fers less money and varies according to the tier system, there are fears that jobs will disappear and redundancies grow.
