• THE national Department of Health says South Africa is in a “favourable” position to immediately roll out Dexamethasone to all seriously ill COVID-19 patients. SABC acting spokesperson Mmoni Seapolelo denied that Nomonde has been fired but said she has been unscheduled. “The SABC can confirm that Ms Nomonde Vakalisa hasn’t been fired from Umhlobo Wenene. “Ms Vakalisa is currently unscheduled on the station and will return in due course,” said Mmoni. I’M disappointed by the ritual murder of people living with albinism. Their body parts are allegedly used as ingredients in traditional potions because it’s claimed they have magic powers. This magic power is thought to bring prosperity to users of traditional potions. Mzansi needs to get rid of this fantasy about people living with albinism. Attacks on this group of the population should be strongly condemned. Strict prosecution and sentencing of perpetrators of violence should be severe that it acts as a deterrent. THE SA Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) arbitration process involving Tennis SA (TSA) board member Ntambi Ravele, TSA President Gavin Crookes, and suspended Sascoc acting president Barry Hendricks, is heating up. Ravele took Crookes and Hendricks to arbitration because of alleged political interference. Crookes and Hendricks are said to have unlawfully blocked Ravele’s Sascoc presidential candidacy in February. Ravele then wrote a series of letters to Minister of Sports, Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa to intervene. As a result of her complaint about the pair, an independent advocate was appointed to investigate the matter and it was referred to arbitration.
