THE parents of two young girls, aged five and six, who were raped by their father, were sentenced in the Pretoria Regional Court this week. The father was sentenced to two life sentences for rape while the mother was sentenced to five years for failure to report sexual abuse. PORTIA Derby has been appointed as group chief executive of Transnet, it was announced on Friday. Derby is the former wife of Brian Molefe, former Eskom CEO and a former Transnet CEO. According to a statement, Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan, approved the recommendation for her appointment made by the Transnet board. Cabinet gave its approval on Friday.
