Phora, who is based at the High-Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria, is working hard towards fulfilling his Olympic dream. The talented athlete from Mamelodi, in Tshwane, has been named in the Olympic preparation squad by Athletics South Africa. He has been included in the 400m and the 4x400m relay team. He managed to reach the 400m semifinal at the IAAF World Champs in Doha, Qatar, in September. He said he had an injury-free year and is in the best possible shape ahead of the new season starting in February next year. SABC2 is set to introduce a new Sesotho telenovela titled Lithapo. Aimed at shining the spotlight on daddy issues, its plot will switch between the rich and poor worlds of the Jozi communities Sandton and Alexandra, respectively. Produced by Quizzical Pictures, filming began in October on location in QwaQwa, Free State, and is continuing in Jozi. He’s always been aware that the automotive business is white-dominated. But that didn’t deter him. He stuck to his dream of selling cars.
