Amid the rubble of his house a man sits reading the Koran (Picture, Sunday Tribune, March 17). His life lies in ruins, shattered by the cruelty of a senseless, brutal war. His own blood cousins, the Israelis, have turned to be his vengeful neighbours and have showed no mercy, bombing him out existence.
It’s a poignant reminder of how the Holy Land has become a blood bath.
With everything gone, including his family, he clings to the last hope he has – God Almighty.
