Ingredients
Lucky Star pilchards in sweet-chilli sauce 2 cans (400g each)
Cooking oil 2 tbsp
2 Medium onions, chopped
½ Green pepper, diced
2 Bay leaves
4 Cloves
1 Cinnamon stick
3 Cardamom seeds
1 tsp Garlic, chopped
1 tsp Ginger, grated
2 tsp Mild curry powder
1 tsp Garam masala
Brown vinegar
½ tsp Turmeric
2 Large tomatoes, grated
4 Medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
¼ cup chicken stock or water
2 tbsp sugar
Salt to taste
Method
In a large saucepan, fry onions until soft and translucent.
Add diced green pepper along with all dry spices and stir for a minute, then add garlic and ginger and stir for another minute.
