The chain appealed the findings of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and was partly successful. The court halved the damages awarded to the woman, only identified as JL. The CCMA awarded her R50 000 but on Friday Judge Robert Lagrange ordered that R25 000 was fair.
