He kept his nerve, sank the winning putt, waved cheerfully to the crowd, and gave his caddy a hug. That was it – godt utfort. (I hope my Norwegian is correct)
No screaming, wild fist pumping, jumping up and down, throwing clubs into the air, falling onto the green nor any other idiotic show of the usual overemotional and over-dramatised charade displayed by many other professionals in winning a match, scoring a goal or try, or winning a point. I’m probably the only one, but I find that type of behaviour extremely irritating and always artificial and insincere.
I was even more impressed with Martin Kaymer, the runner-up.…
