ERA OF THE EWOKS It's hard to conceive at this point in Star Wars history, but there was a time back in 1983 that general audiences truly believed the original three Star Wars movies were all there would ever be. Even hardcore fans were skeptical, despite George Lucas having gone on record during production of The Empire Strikes Back saying that he planned to make a nine-film saga.
