Known for her vibrant, modern renditions of vintage crafts, Arizona artist Heather Bailey believes creativity should be pursued as more than a mere outlet. She sees it as nourishment for the soul. It can produce something simple, like a pincushion, or intangible, like laughter, but creating, she says, “is necessary to our fulfillment as human beings and even more so as women.” Of course her expressive endeavors have also landed Heather success as a designer of fabric, stationery, housewares, paper craft supplies, sewing patterns, and hair accessories, but she continues to find both freedom and personal purpose in her daily creative explorations.
