She’s a star that’s over the moon * Days of Our Lives star MARY BETH EVANS (Kayla) says she’s totally thrilled after being nominated for her first-ever Daytime Emmy after playing the role on and off for nearly 30 years. Competing in the Outstanding Lead Actress category, she enthused: “It’s such an honour, it’s been just a really creative, fun year and it’s so exciting to have this be the icing on the cake.” Evans says she submitted the scenes of Kayla telling Bo he had a brain tumour as well as the romantic, playful scenes featuring Kayla and Steve trapped in a hospital storage closet, for consideration for the award.
