Offspring to return! * Network Ten’s drama Offspring will return for a sixth series. Although the show’s fate looked uncertain when the show’s writer JOHN EDWARDS said it “has run its race in five series”, viewers began a concerted effort to have it return. Ten’s chief programming officer BEVERLEY MCGARVEY has also wanted the popular series back on air. She had previously indicated that the fact that filming had to cease after the show’s 65 th episode, due to the ending of government tax rebates for the production, wouldn’t be an obstacle to the show’s continuation even though future series could cost 30 per cent more to produce.
