A word, this month about Photo Contests. Our readers, of course, are aware that as part of EISA we run in India the prestigious Maestro Contest. With the advent of the internet, it has become very easy for individuals to submit the same images for different photo contests. In a few cases, images that have won in a previous contest are submitted again for another contest. Astrodesign Inc and Samyang have joined the L-Mount Alliance, expanding the strength of the alliance to seven. The L-mount standards and alliance were announced at Photokina in 2018. The alliance consists of founding members Leica Camera AG, SIGMA, and Panasonic, as well as Ernst Leitz Wetzlar GmbH and DJI joining in 2021. The goal of the alliance is to utilise the L-mount standard developed by Leica Camera AG for cameras and lenses.
