One gutsy shotgun messenger was Eugene Blair. During his time with Wells Fargo, he was widely known and feared by many hardened criminals. Here’s his story.
Eugene Blair was born on November 5, 1845, on a farm near Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine. By age 20, he had relocated to Nevada, where he worked as a miner, a jailer, and a policeman.
