I've just finished reading this book and have enjoyed it. This young Dutch woman, after a traumatic experience, decided to undertake a 22,000 mile trip through the Far East, Middle East, and back to Holland. Her bike was a Royal Enfield Himalayan, bought in India. It and she held up well over icy mountains and broiling deserts. She was fortunate that the people she met were friendly and helpful. In the course of the trip she is occasionally introspective and reflective about her life and career, but there is no Zen! It's guaranteed Zen-free!
I would never do what she did, but it was very interesting to read about it.
