This challenge sounds easy enough. Dig out the road atlas with four milles to the inch, make an eight inch loop of thread, and start mulling over the very small section of map available to you. Then it's not so easy. How long is a piece of thread? 30 miles. Ish. Fortunately Ilive near Skipton, the Gateway to the Dales, apparently.
My regular rides around the Skipton countryside involve a lot of gawping at sheep and hills over drystone walls. The views are to die for, so take care on the bends. Sounds like a job for the Norton Electra, a very nimble little bike, and easy to throw around the little lanes. The Norton Commander, an excellent steed but a bit tall in the saddle, can leave me struggling…
