Butter Churn 6” block Did you know—if you start with a line drawing of a block and change the value placement of some of the fabrics, it looks like a completely different block? Sweet butterflies fly, fly away! Butterfly Kisses Inspired by Lovely Butterfly (block #1071) by Keiko Clark found in volume 11 of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Diane used the butterfly block as a top and bottom border and filled the middle with traditional Irish Chain blocks. Jupiter's Moons I saw your article Salvage Those Selvages in the Quiltmaker July/August 2019 issue. I have been saving selvages for a few years and decided to try the pattern Jupiter's Moons by Ellen Ault. I changed my grays by using Moondust by Robert Kaufman. It adds a nice shimmer. I named my quilt “Planets.” I entered it in our local quilt show and plan to use more selvages as shown by Tracy Mooney. As sweet as spun sugar “I love, love scrap quilts! I jump at the chance to make them. In this quilt, I decided to use light, bright spring-like colors—just like cotton candy in a candy shop! I kept mainly to a palette of pink, green, blue, teal, orange, yellow, and purple.
