At the time of writing, we are experiencing the first truly wet day for weeks, so, after a sleep deprived fortnight of frenzied grass preservation, a quiet damp day is really quite welcome. This ‘downtime’ shouldn’t be squandered, however, as this is exactly the time when all those niggly little faults and issues that, although tiresome and not enough to stop the show, still need to be addressed. Yet, sat here in the office, the thoughts of a wiring issue on the baler seem an awfully low priority – unless the phone should ring. Then it’ll be right back to the top of the list, spelled out in capitals, bold capitals, and underlined, just in case.
