Now in its 55th year, the Wildlife Photographer Of The Year competition is the premier showcase for the world’s best nature and wildlife photography. The competition is run by London’s Natural History Museum and this year attracted more than 48,000 entries from photographers in 100 countries.
In addition to the 19 main categories, the Lumix People’s Choice Awards has become a popular element of the competition with 25 finalists vying for the top prize. As the name suggests, the winner – plus four highly commended images – is selected by visitors to the exhibition at London’s Natural History Museum.
