Huge turnout for NEC show
Some 108,000 people visited the recent Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, organiser NCC Events has revealed.
The company claims the number of people who came through the doors made it a record-breaking event.
MD Terry Dullaghan said, “It’s great to see that despite challenging times, the appetite for camping and touring holidays continues to grow.”
Among those praising the show was Bailey sales director Ian Rawlings. “Both caravans and motorhomes have outperformed last year,” he said.
Dave Williams, sales and marketing director at Auto-Sleepers, which launched a new Mercedes-based van conversion at the show, said the event had been “above our expectations”.
The new Auto-Sleeper model, the M-Star, is a two-berth rear-lounge ’van with Alde heating (see p74).
