As reported in previous issues of PM, I had decided to keep the Rimor’s layout as close to the original as possible, first, because I liked it, and second, because I could reuse some of the furniture.
The kitchen, the cupboard above it, the table and the unit above that, were all to go back in. We were also using all of the original cushions, although not the seat base units.
I used the steel frames that go under the seats, because these are structural to the seatbelt attachments, but built glass fibre units around them, again all bonded into the floor and sides.
I also added shelves above the front and rear beds, which were laminated into the panels around them, adding further box structure strength.
