Naicker, 32, of Verulam, said children could develop into ideal human beings if they were exposed to human values, education, and personal and moral development.
“Just like the lotus flower blossoms in its surroundings, with its appearance and scent, despite being in a pond with mud and grime, children will grow into beautiful beings, despite the current challenges facing them,” said Naicker.
Naicker, who has been working as an English language professor at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Salalah, in Oman, for the past seven months, said other than academics, some children were not afforded opportunities to develop in other facets.
