Arrest warrant for comedian Karou Charou violates protection order CHARLENE SOMDUTH charlene.somduth@inl.co.za African News Agency (ANA) Archives THE Estcourt Magistrate’s Court has issued a warrant of arrest for comedian Sagren Madhevan Moodley, who goes by the stage name Karou Charou. This after Moodley violated an interim protection order that had been issued against him. The protection order, which falls under the Protection from Harassment Act, was obtained by an Estcourt businesswoman in March this year. She claimed that Moodley targeted her online. He allegedly called her a murderer during a live video on his Facebook page, referred to her using vulgar language and made threats of a sexual nature against her. Nadira Vanker, 31, a teacher at Progress Primary School, has still not been found. And since posting photographs of herself harvesting her fresh produce on social media recently, her friend list increased and her business has grown. Kanayee, 46, lives in Seven Tanks at the Silverglen Nature Reserve in Chatsworth. The community, who live in makeshift homes, comprise small scale farmers.
