SUPPORT FOR SICK Prayer, food distribution for Covid-19
CHARLENE SOMDUTH charlene.somduth@inl.co.za RAJ Pillay, an uMhlanga businessman, knows first hand the effects of Covid-19 after he was admitted to hospital for the virus and recovered from it.
Pillay, 62, who owns Fireworks King, is calling on people of all faiths to pray for healing for the sick on Thursday, which is also Kavady.
Pillay, his son, Dane, and son-in-law, Donovan Govender, will distribute food from four sites in Durban – the Shri Mariamman Temple in Mount Edgecombe, the Shree Murugar Alayam in Jacobs Road, Clairwood, his business premises in Lawley Street in Jacobs, and a parking lot in Sirdar Road, Clairwood.
A prayer for a Covid cure and healing for those infected will also be held at the Shri Mariamman Temple.…
