Enforce the use of seat belts in taxis
ALL too often, we hear about several people dying in taxi-related incidents.
A few days ago, 12 people, including a baby, were killed and three others were injured, when a taxi driver lost control and the vehicle went down an embankment in Underberg.
A private ambulance company that attended the scene noted several people were found lying scattered around the scene.
A few weeks ago, Bheki Ntuli, the KZN executive responsible for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, promised law enforcement agencies would intensify their operations during October, so as to ensure our roads were safer.
