Meeting up with friends, I spotted someone new amongst the familiar group.
‘Hi, I’m Kelly,’ he smiled.
I’d briefly met him once before, but this was the first time we’d really spoken.
We had instant chemistry.
Kelly seemed so easy going and was a right laugh.
Exchanging numbers, we started speaking every day.
At first, I thought we could be something, but within a few weeks, we realised we were better as friends.
Although Kelly was lovely when he was sober, as soon as he had a drink he changed.
