In September 2010, at uni, I met Charlie White, 18, and we clicked instantly. Graduating in July 2013, we moved to London for work, Charlie as a property manager, and me as airline cabin crew.
I was travelling - but never seeing the destination.
‘I’d love to fly away and never come back,’ I sighed.
We wrote a ‘bucket list’ of places to visit - and soon our list was huge.
‘Let’s quit. Go travelling,’ Charlie suggested.
Excited, we started making plans. And, a month on, in March 2015, we quit our jobs, moved in with my parents, Carl 57, and Nicky, 51, in Leek, Staffs.
We worked nine jobs between us, day and night, only stopping for sleep. Nine months on, we’d raised a total of £24,000.
