Every Nighthawk Custom 1911 pistol comes with some sage advice that can be applied to any 1911 you handle. 1 Don't let the slide fall on an empty chamber. This will cause the hammer to start following the slide down. The 1911 is made to load a round each time the slide goes forward. 2 Do dry-fire the weapon every chance you get.
