Location
Bean Lake is located along one of the most popular segments of the Superior Hiking Trail, a 310-mile trail in northeastern Minnesota that’s often referred to as one of the best through-hikes in the United States. The trail can be challenging, with a total of 37,821 feet of elevation gain over the full course of the trail, but the rewards are well worth the effort. There are plenty of broad vistas, as well as interesting rock formations, creeks and waterfalls, all within the beautiful boreal forest.
