I’m a “gear guy”. I like to see what guns, gear and equipment other competitors use. One thing I have noticed at the three x UAE SWAT Challenge competitions I had the honour to attend, is the quality and variety of holsters. Most recently at the 2025 UAE SWAT challenge from 1 to 5 February 2025. I am always astounded by the amount of holsters that require copious applications of duct tape, bungee cord and all kinds of last minute alterations to ensure that pistols don’t fall out while completing the rigorous events.
