Kiwis have bought more than 104,000 Hilux utes since the legendary light truck was first launched here in 1976.
Globally more than 16 million Hilux models have been sold in more than 170 countries since it was launched 47 years ago accounting for 10 percent of Toyota sales worldwide, approaching one million annually.
From a single model introduced in 1968, Hilux has developed into a wide model range to suit a large variety of commercial and recreational uses and now has SUV levels of comfort, safety and technology in addition to its legendary durability.
