From time to time motor vehicles get swamped by water. It could be flooding, a deluge, a wave, or a failed river crossing. For 4WDs it’s most likely the last of those.
I know, having dunked 4WDs, cars and dirt bikes. I once floated down a river beneath a bike. Beaut day, lightly clothed. Didn’t know the river. Cold front came through, we were soaked, we froze. Got self and bike ashore. Pulled spark plug, turned bike upside down, yanked kick starter till all the water was out. Right way up, replaced plug, drained carby, gave it a kick and away it went.
