We love a compelling true-crime documentary around here, and one of the best so far this year has been Netflix’s American Murder: Gabby Petito.I was living in the US when poor Gabby disappeared, and I’ve never seen a case grip the nation quite like it. So I was fascinated to read news editor Maisy’s update on the case on page 20, in which she examines how the Petito family is keeping her memory alive. Speaking of Netflix series, we’re also still talking about Apple Cider Vinegar – the dramatised version of cancer faker Belle Gibson’s life. After losing their Pacific Palisades house in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester are searching for a new family home. Char Siu Lamb Stir-Fry SERVES 4 PREP & COOK 20 MINS ■ 540g lamb leg steaks, thinly sliced ■ 2 cloves garlic, crushed ■ 2 tblsps vegetable oil ■ 1 large red capsicum, cut into thin strips ■ 250g broccoli, trimmed, cut into small florets ■ 1 bunch baby bok choy, trimmed, chopped ■ Steamed white rice, to serve SAUCE ■ 3 tsps cornflour ■ ¹⁄³ cup char siu sauce ■ 2 tblsps soy sauce 1 To make sauce, blend cornflour with 2 tblsps water in a jug.
