Hello, I’m Karleigh, and welcome to my first issue as editor of New Idea. I began my magazine career on this same title as a bright-eyed, 19-year-old copy editor who moved from Port Pirie, SA to the big smoke, so I am thrilled to now be in the hot seat! It’s a homecoming in more ways than one, given I recently returned Down Under after a long stint as a reporter in Los Angeles. Kate Ritchie has officially jumped ship from her long-time gig on NOVA’s national drive show to the newly named breakfast program, Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie.
