Princess Charlene has been stuck in South Africa since May, unable to return to Monaco while she recovers from an ear, nose and throat (ENT) infection.
But, earlier this month, the royal faced new health concerns when she was rushed to hospital after collapsing. The palace confirmed the news, saying the incident was “due to complications from a severe ENT infection”. Charlene, 43, has since recovered and left hospital.
It comes just days after it was revealed that her husband, Prince Albert, attended Monaco’s Red Cross Ball in July with his former mistress, Nicole Coste, and their love child, Alexandre Grimaldi-Coste, 18, while Charlene was in South Africa. Albert also fathered Jazmin Grimaldi, 29, with Tamara Rotolo.
