Kenya Airways and Qatar Airways have launched a codeshare partnership that expands travel options across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and beyond.
The agreement, which follows a strategic partnership signed earlier this year, coincides with Qatar Airways’ introduction of a third daily flight between Doha and Nairobi – further strengthening air links between Kenya and the Gulf region.
Through the arrangement, KQ passengers gain access to 11 new destinations operated by Qatar Airways through Doha, including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Male (Seychelles) and Tokyo. Meanwhile, Qatar Airways customers can now connect via Nairobi to eight new African destinations, such as Juba, Lilongwe and Victoria Falls.
Beyond passenger services, the two carriers plan to explore further cooperation in areas such as cargo, ground handling and sustainability.
