GT World Challenge Europe differs from other regional championships as it splits its calendars between five sprint and five endurance events. The endurance championship comprises three, six and 24-hour races whereas the sprint series is made up of two 60-minute races each weekend with sprint, endurance and combined champions crowned. UK fans get to see the cars on British soil just once, at Brands Hatch on May 2-3.

Proof of the success of the GT3 ruleset has been the number of cars built for the category. Maserati, Dodge, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Chevrolet (Corvette), Ascari, Porsche, Venturi, Ferrari, Ford, Jaguar, Morgan, Lotus, Porsche, Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes-AMG, Nissan, McLaren, Bentley, Cadillac and Honda. That’s 23 manufacturers and almost 60 different models.
