Edward: Plant all the leaf crops in summer, as well as root crops, except turnips. Legumes, such as bush beans and Christmas lima beans, can also be planted now.

Edward: If you have a big patch of land, plant a lot of spinach. Tomatoes and brinjals yield a large harvest. One brinjal plant bears more than 10 brinjals.
What do you harvest at this time of year?
Edward: New Zealand spinach, morogo, Swiss chard and parsley are usually harvested now. Morogo can be grown in drought conditions as it doesn’t like a lot of water.
