‘I remember my first big shopping trip with my mum. I wore my latest pedal pushers and crop-top combo and felt like the coolest kid ever on my way into Tammy Girl. Little did I know, this was the start of my love affair with high street shopping. Fast-forward a decade (OK, maybe two) and I find myself ‘window shopping’ Instagram and ordering countless deliveries directly to my door while comfy in my PJs on this thing called an iPhone. Yet switching from strolling to scrolling has left many once bustling shopping destinations now closer to resembling ghost towns.
