A retired couple in the United Kingdom have been left with a hole in their roof when a chunk of frozen waste fell from a plane flying overhead. Keith Mead and his wife, Ruth, rushed outside after hearing a loud bang. Initially thinking there had been a car accident, the couple were shocked when they discovered a hole in the ceiling and a seven-inch long chunk of ice which contained frozen urine and poop. According to Mr Mead, the frozen faeces had fallen from a jet plane 30,000 feet overhead after being flushed from the toilet on the plane. A United Kingdom parliamentary report has revealed that London’s iconic clock, Big Ben, could stop running if necessary repairs are not carried out. According to the report, the clock’s hands mechanism, pendulum and Elizabeth tower all required some form of refurbishment, estimating to cost up to $84 million. Failure to restore the most famous clock in the world would potentially result in “international reputational damage.” Additional problems were identified with Big Ben’s tower, such as cracks in the masonry , with claims that over 31 years had passed since such upgrades had been actioned. The inspections of Big Ben were investigated after clocksmiths suggested that the famous clock was running out by up to six seconds. Fifty years ago in the corners of the Stockholm Metro train network in Sweden, the Silverpilen or Silver Bullet ghost train first took to the tracks and has terrified locals since. Originally built as a testing unit in the 1960’s the eight-car train was never painted so stood out amongst the other green metro trains on the tracks. A tsunami of foam measuring over seven metres recently invaded the shores of the Bellandur Lake in Bangalore, India.The mysterious phenomenon especially puzzled residents when the foam burst into flames! One local, Elan Govan witnessed the strange incident and said, “It has been nearly 15 years now that the lake is covered with the thick foam...The lake had suddenly caught fire and the flames went as high as four feet. Austria’s transport ministry has given hoverboard laws the green light despite the technology not yet existing. An announcement claimed that hoverboards would be considered as “small off-road vehicles” that would be used “anywhere a skateboard is” In an attempt to offer potential users with more clarity over the matter, the ministry confirmed the only general restriction was that users must not “endanger passers-by or motor traffic” However, more restrictive regulations would be required if the rocket-powered Pit Bull hoverboard, featured in the popular film, Back to the Future, was to be released. Ministry officials explained that riders of such a vehicle would need to have a pilot’s certificate and flight authorisation. When Dora the donkey was chosen to be Diego the calf’s guard animal, it did not take long before the two became unlikely best friends. Owner, Ms. Rayment, admitted she was surprised at the strong bond between the two animals and believes that Diego the calf “thinks Dora is his mother ... When you give him his bottle, afterwards he goes up and starts sucking on the donkey’s tail.
