PAPER-SIZED SCOOTER A university student has created a revolutionary scooter for adults which can fold up to the size of an A4 piece of paper. George Mabey scored the top prize at the prestigious Power of Aluminium Awards where attendees celebrate innovative uses of the metal. The 22-year-old designer from Southampton said, “I was amazed at winning such a brilliant competition, which I was proud to take part in. Having my work acknowledged at the awards and recognised by the industry is the icing on the cake. It’s a great way to finish my time at university.” Mabey picked up around $1,800 for his lightweight scooter which weighs under five kilograms and can even fit into a handbag.
