Plots 1, 2 and 3, in the top corner of the site, were a small, perfect piece of Italy. Vincenzo Santasiero, aged 80, has been a plot-holder at Farm Terrace for 44 years; his daughter Rosangela, who now gardens alongside him, has been coming to the plot since she was six months old. Vincenzo, who is from Basilicata in the south of Italy, doesn’t speak much English, so Rosangela did the talking.
