THE JACK-OF-ALL-TRADES Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) (Starting at $399) The new alpha wolf of Apple Watches delivers what we’ve been dreaming of—the ability to leave your iPhone at home. Thanks to a built-in electronic SIM card, the Series 3 cellular can make calls, stream music, and receive notifications all on its own. Just be aware that all this extra use will take a toll on battery life and will add roughly $5–$10/month to your phone bill (prices vary by carrier). CaseMate Brilliance Tough ($67.99–$80) This case has become one of my absolute favorites. Although it’s a bit flashy for some, that’s one of the many reasons I love it so much. Not only is it just plain glamorous, but it’s pretty rugged too. While testing this case, I dropped it quite a few times, and my phone made it out completely unscathed (and, remarkably, the case did too). Jabra Elite Sport Earbuds ($199–$249.99) The Jabra Elite Sports are a truly wireless earbud designed specifically for working out. The earbuds have a built-in heartrate monitor that can automatically sync with your favorite workout apps, including Strava (free) and RunKeeper (free). The sound quality is mediocre for the price point, and as with most wireless earbuds, the battery life isn’t amazing (three hours). When Apple announced the iPhone X, many had sticker shock over the $1,000 price tag. Not only is this the most expensive iPhone that Apple has ever created, but it’s also one of six different iPhones the company now sells.
