It’s getting down to the pointy end of the 2019 Sportscover Clubbies Awards. Just days out from the nomination deadline, hundreds of people across the nation have given Inside Sport a glimpse into their own little piece of Aussie clubland.
The top-ten sports for entries were: football (soccer), rugby league, triathlon, hockey, softball, equestrian, cycling, gymnastics, Australian rules and swimming. Not so prominent, but no less inspiring, were the likes of judo, cheerleading and wheelchair rugby.
But the sports making a big assault on the awards this year are polar opposites – BMX and calisthenics, which feature across most categories.
