As the year moves on, the feeling in the air starts to change. It’s as if the hectic energy of the summer months and the new year’s arrival begin to wane, in harmony with the trees now preparing, colourfully, for rest, for winter. The approach of autumn, to me, seems like the leisurely ritual of a woman preparing for a night’s sleep, washing away the activities and stresses of the day, rubbing cream into her skin and wrapping herself up in a cosy gown.
