For Adelaide-based industrial designer Andrew Eden, simplicity is key. “In a complicated world filled with so much noise, simple things stand out,” explains the JamFactory furniture studio alumnus and founder of AG Studio. “And as I continually explore materials and processes that pique my interest, I’m evolving my aesthetic.”
Andrew’s portfolio has an exuberant, youthful energy to it, achieved via an eclectic fusion of fresh styles, shapes and colours. His furniture and lighting designs may be visually minimalist, yet they all possess clever elements that heighten their conceptual rigour. The Frame lounge chair, for example, features a luxuriously upholstered L-shaped form supported by an impossibly thin steel frame.
