While many designers tend to follow a specific—but varied—color scheme from room to room, few clients would give them carte blanche to swathe a whole space in the same shade of green. Luckily for Ashley Gilbreath, she was both the client and the designer when it came to the vacation home she shares with her husband, three kids, and their dog, Bo, in Cashiers, North Carolina. As an event planner and the author of A Screaming Blast: Exceptional Entertaining, Rebecca Gardner has a gift for making any space celebrationready—even the boudoir of her New York City apartment. Since the tiny one-bedroom doesn’t have a dining area, “I had to make one up,” says the Houses & Parties founder.
