DAISY DAVIES, nine, landed her first pass to the London International astride her mum, Lottie James’, 21-year-old Rockbury Bolero (Mr Ben) in the cradle stakes class.
“She tried a few qualifiers last year with no luck,” said Lottie. “Daisy and her sister Jessie go to school in Builth Wells, so to qualify on home turf with her friends there meant the world to her.”
Mr Ben joined the family three years ago having previously been a successful lead-rein pony, and latterly, a Pony Club pony.
“He's really shown Daisy the ropes, and she does a bit of everything with him – mainly checking Daddy's sheep.”
