TO breed her “perfect horse”, Louise Bell put her home-bred mare, Working Girl, to legendary stallion Uthopia. The offspring, Peaky Blinder II (pictured), is so far living up to expectations. The seven-year-old gelding was an outright winner at both medium and advanced medium at Solihull Riding Club, West Midlands.
“I wanted half working hunter breeding and half dressage,” said former showing star Louise, who co-owns “Duggy” with Denise Reynolds. “His mother had a tremendous hindleg and was super-hot, in the nicest way, while Uthopia was so trainable. Duggy is also related to my great working hunter champion, Rocky IV, the horse that made me. It’s wonderful to have a part-Rocky.
