LAGO ICON took an inter I victory on his second attempt at the level, plus a 71.32% PSG win, at Bicton Arena, Devon.
“We had some lovely comments from the judge about a harmonious partnership and wellpresented movements, which makes it all worthwhile,” said Emily Burns, who bought the PRE stallion as a foal, and was persuaded to take up dressage by her friend, breeder Charlotte CrockerWestlake. “Icon can be tricky in the prize-giving, but he's laid-back. He has to toe the line as he lives at our family business, Finlake Riding Centre in Devon, and his stable looks out onto a row of mares.
“He is kept on top form with monthly sports massages from Joanne Parry,” added Emily, who trains with Jackie Stolper and Adam Kemp.
